I am a proud yellow volunteer

I have already expressed before my direct support for Noynoy Aquino's presidency as well as the rest of the LP party candidates. I am proud to be a yellow team volunteer. In my own little way I am trying my best to help in the campaign by printing yellow ribbon stickers for my family and friends who have also expressed their support for the Noy-Mar tandem. Moreover, through my blog and in other social network sites such as Facebook and Twitter, I am not hesitant to spread the yellow fever. :) That is how I truly support Noynoy Aquino because I believe in HIM.
Go Yellow team!!!

Adam Carolla's Racial Assault on Manny and the Philippines

It is such a pity for some people like ADAM CAROLLA who doesn't know how it is to truly achieve popularity without having the need to do dirty and shameful tricks just to capture the audience's attention. Just recently, this Loud-mouthed TV/radio host from Pennsylvania is surely in for a lot of trouble for lambasting the entire Filipino nation. He publicly mocked Manny Pacquiao and the Philippines for being "illiterate", "idiot" and by saying that we are "a Nation of Whores".

This man deserves no less than but a strong punch from our pound for pound king, Manny himself. Filipinos are not illiterate. We are not idiot and a nation of whores as you think. We may be too attached to Manny Pacquiao for being an icon in the field of Sports. But this does not give you the right to bash the entire country with your tirade attacks of racism.

Ruffa walked out of live set of The Buzz

I was busy assisting my husband as he cooks "Pancit" for our guests because it just happened to be my birthday today! Hehe. Anyways, while I was working as an assistant Chef :), I overheard a live interview of Pia Guanio to Ruffa Gutierrez's mom Annabelle Rama about her daughter's walked out of the set of The Buzz about 5 or 10 minutes ago before the interview. According to Annabelle, she pulled her daughter Ruffa Guttierez out of the live set of The Buzz because she could no longer bear regular interrupting comments of Kris Aquino to her daughter when they are on the show. Knowing how Annabelle defends her children in the public makes me become more interested on what controversial statements she would be doing this time. And yup, I was correct. Annabelle did a comment wherein she said Kris is boastful even though her brother has not win the presidency yet. Likewise, asking the people not to vote for Noynoy (view live interview).

Well, it's really showbiz, what more can we expect. It’s just that I feel pity for Noynoy because every time there is a controversy involving his youngest sister, Kris, it’s likely that people will try to connect him with the issue even if it seems to be unfair. Nonetheless, I still firmly believe in Noynoy and in his platform of stopping corruption in this country in order to achieve real freedom from poverty. I believe also that Filipinos are intelligent enough to choose who they feel is the right person for the job and will not only be swayed by their emotions as caused by intriguing issues such as this.

So much for that, I didn't notice that my husband was impatiently waiting for me to finish slicing the carrots as I was succumbed to watching the live interview, hehe.

A Filipino lead vocalist for a legendary American rock band

I am no fanatic fan of the Journey, an American rock band formed in 1973 whose hit songs include "Faithfully", "Don't Stop Believin", "Open Arms", and "Lights" among others. But after stumbling upon the name of Arnel Pineda as I heard of it a lot of times from the news and from gossips of my friends. So there I was searching the web to get to know this guy who seemed to be interesting. Indeed, I was really impressed by Allan Pineda's powerful voice and the way he soulfully rendered the songs of the Journey. Watching him sing on You Tube was really electrifying I must say. I never thought I would fell in love with the songs of the Journey as I am really into more soft music. So, there I was downloading the songs of the Journey and uploading the videos of their concerts with Arnel Pineda as the band's lead vocalist. Well, I am thankful that I am back into blogging and I'm also glad that as my first blog entry, I get to learn a Filipino singer/musician who has made so much proud to his country. And I fell in love with him..sorry. :)

Spirit of Christmas

Christmas Spirit is not yet felt here at home, why? I haven't put any decors yet, not even the most important one, our very own Christmas Tree! I know my kids deserve to at least feel Santa's coming into our house and to give them gifts they've wished for. I simply have to manage my time now and keep myself free to decor the house and make the place filled with the spirit of Holiday's Season.
